Artem Funk is an award-winning film director and producer from Saint Petersburg, Russia. He has created a number of critically acclaimed feature films, documentaries, and music videos.

Funk studied cinema and media studies at the University of Saint Petersburg, graduating in 1996. Since then, he has worked with a wide variety of production companies, including the BBC and the Russian Film Council. In 2002, he released his first feature film, a psychological drama entitled “The Return”. The film was nominated for several awards, including the prestigious Golden Bear Award at the Berlin International Film Festival.

In 2006, Funk released his second feature, a psychological thriller called “The Hunter”. The film won the Silver Bear Award for Best Director at the Berlin International Film Festival. The film was also a commercial success, grossing over $10 million at the box office.

In 2010, Funk directed the documentary “The Other Side”, which was nominated for Best Documentary at the Cannes Film Festival. The film follows a family of Russian immigrants as they struggle to adjust to life in America.

In 2012, Funk released his third feature film, “The War of the Worlds”. The film was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $100 million at the box office.

Funk has also directed a number of music videos for various artists, including “Falling” by the band Bloc Party and “One Night Only” by the singer-songwriter Jenny Lewis.
