Arabian Prince, whose real name is Mik Lezan, is an American rapper, singer, DJ, and producer who gained prominence in the 1980s. Growing up in Compton, California, he was heavily influenced by funk and electro music. After forming a successful rap group called the Arabian Prince, Mik achieved success with the group’s 1984 hit “And We Do It Like This” and its accompanying album.

After the group disbanded in 1986, Arabian Prince launched his solo career. He released a solo album, Innovative Life, in 1988, which featured the hit single “Strange Life.” The song was popular in clubs and on radio stations, and helped to establish Arabian Prince’s solo career.

In the early 1990s, Arabian Prince began to focus more on production than on rapping. He produced tracks for the likes of Ice Cube, KRS-One, and Too Short, and also produced the theme song for the television show South Central. In addition, he produced the entire soundtrack for the 1996 film Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood.

Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, Arabian Prince continued to produce music for various artists, including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and N.W.A. He also released several solo albums, including 1999’s Black Album and 2003’s Arabian Prince. In addition to his musical career, Arabian Prince also wrote a book, The Future of Hip-Hop.

In recent years, Arabian Prince has continued to produce music and tour. In 2015, he released an EP, N.E.W. (Nothing Ever Works), which featured collaborations with musicians such as DJ Quik and Too Short. He also continues to produce for other artists, including Kendrick Lamar and The Game.

Arabian Prince has achieved success in the music industry due to his ability to blend different styles of music together.
