Radziwill was born in London, England. He was raised in a privileged environment, attending the best schools and universities. He graduated from Brown University in 1983 with a degree in political science. After college, he began his acting career, appearing in minor roles in several television series such as Miami Vice, Quantum Leap, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

In 1993, he was cast in the television movie Jackie Bouvier Kennedy Onassis as Aristotle Onassis, playing opposite Jacqueline Bisset and Joanne Woodward. Radziwill faced numerous personal battles during his life, including being diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1997, which he eventually lost. Following his illness, he became a vocal advocate for cancer research, attending events for the cause and even releasing a book, titled Anthony: A Gift of Hope, which detailed his battle with the disease.

Radziwill was also known for his philanthropic work. He was a founding member of the Make A Wish Foundation and the Children's Defense Fund, and was a proud supporter of the Special Olympics.

Radziwill was married twice, first to Carole Radziwill, a writer and producer, and later to Carole's sister, Anna Christina. He had two children, Sonja and Anthony Radziwill, Jr.

Radziwill died at the age of 39 on August 10, 1999 in New York City, after a long battle with cancer. He was buried in a private ceremony at the Kennedy family compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts.

Radziwill's legacy lives on in the form of the Anthony Radziwill Memorial Fund, which was established in his honor and provides financial assistance to cancer patients. He was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2000.
