Anne B. Ragde (born 24 December 1956) is a Norwegian novelist, playwright and children's author.

Ragde was born in Oslo and grew up in a small town. She studied history and literature at the University of Oslo, and later went on to get her master's degree in American literature.

Ragde began her writing career in the early 1980s, contributing to newspapers and magazines. Her first novel, "The Bird Factory," was published in 1992 and was followed by a string of critically acclaimed novels, including "The Last Joint Venture," "Berlin Poplars," and "East of the Mountain."

Ragde has also written several plays, most notably "The Red Room" and "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." Her plays have been performed throughout Norway, as well as in the UK and the US.

Ragde has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Norwegian Critics' Prize for Literature, the Brage Prize, and the Nordic Council's Literature Prize. She was also awarded an honorary degree by the University of Oslo in 2001.

Ragde is married and has two children. She currently lives in Oslo, where she continues to write and teach literature.
