Angela Cartwright is an English-born American actress, photographer and author best known for her roles as Brigitta von Trapp in The Sound of Music, Linda Williams in Make Room for Daddy, and Penny Robinson in Lost in Space.

Cartwright was born in Altrincham, Cheshire, England in 1952 to an English mother and a Welsh father. Her family moved to California when she was three years old. At the age of six, she was cast as a Mouseketeer on The Mickey Mouse Club, appearing in various episodes throughout the show’s run.

In 1965, Cartwright was cast as Linda Williams on the hit show Make Room for Daddy. In the same year, she was cast as Brigitta von Trapp in the classic film The Sound of Music. She also appeared in the films The Gnome-Mobile, The Troubleshooters, and The Children’s Hour.

In 1965, Cartwright was cast as Penny Robinson in the television series Lost in Space. She appeared in all three seasons of the show from 1965 to 1968. After Lost in Space, Cartwright had a number of guest roles on various television shows. She appeared on shows such as The Big Valley, Bonanza, and The High Chaparral.

In the early 1970s, Cartwright retired from acting and began a career as a photographer and writer.
