Andy Kindler is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. He is best known for his roles on television shows such as Everybody Loves Raymond, and his frequent appearances on the late night talk show, Late Show with David Letterman.

Kindler was born in New York City on November 28, 1956. His parents were both Jewish immigrants from Poland, and he grew up in the suburbs of Long Island. As a child, he enjoyed performing for his family and friends. He eventually found his way to stand-up comedy, performing in clubs all over New York.

Kindler's career really took off after he made his debut on Late Night with David Letterman in 1992. He became a regular guest on the show, and his appearances were often the highlight of the night. He also made appearances on other shows such as The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, and Politically Incorrect. In addition to his television work, Kindler has also been a guest on several radio shows, including the popular show, The Bob & Tom Show.

In addition to his stand-up comedy, Kindler has also appeared in several television shows and movies. His most notable credits include Everybody Loves Raymond, Mad About You, Seinfeld, and The Simpsons. He also had a recurring role on the Fox comedy series, Grandfathered.

Kindler is an active philanthropist, and he has dedicated much of his time and energy to causes he believes in. He is a spokesperson for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and he is an active member of the Committee for Children, a children's advocacy organization.
