Andrew Ryan is an Australian actor who is best known for his roles in the television series Home and Away and The Code. He was born on July 7, 1983 in Sydney, Australia.

Ryan began his career in the entertainment industry by performing in local theater productions. He then went on to study acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, graduating in 2006. Following his graduation, Ryan appeared in a number of short films and television programs, including All Saints, Packed to the Rafters, Spirited, and The Code.

In 2011, Ryan won a starring role in the long-running soap opera Home and Away. He starred as Casey Braxton, a troubled teen who falls into a life of crime. His performance earned him two Logie Award nominations for Most Popular New Talent and Most Outstanding New Talent in 2012.

In 2013, Ryan was cast in the lead role of John Weston in the ABC drama series The Code. This role saw him playing a cyber-security expert and a hacker who is enlisted by the government to help solve the nation’s most difficult crimes. Ryan received critical acclaim for his performance, winning the AACTA Award for Best Lead Actor in a Television Drama in 2014.

After The Code, Ryan appeared in a number of television shows, including The Wrong Girl, Rake, and A Place to Call Home. He also starred in the feature films Blinder and The Osiris Child: Science Fiction Volume One.

In 2017, Ryan returned to his roots and began performing in theater again, appearing in productions of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Glengarry Glen Ross. He then went on to star in the 2018 drama film 1%, playing the lead role of Eddie.
