Andrew Calder (born July 4th, 1990) is an American actor and producer, best known for his roles in the films The Social Network and The Great Gatsby.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Andrew was the son of an attorney and a school teacher. He showed a natural talent for acting from an early age and was accepted into the prestigious Los Angeles County High School for the Arts when he was 14 years old. After high school, he attended the University of Southern California, where he received a degree in theatre and film.
In 2010, Andrew made his film debut in The Social Network, directed by David Fincher and starring Jesse Eisenberg. He played the role of Cameron Winklevoss, a member of the Harvard rowing team. The film was a critical and commercial success, earning eight Academy Award nominations and winning three.
In 2013, Andrew starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the romantic drama The Great Gatsby. He played the role of Jay Gatsby, a mysterious and wealthy man who throws lavish parties, but hides a dark secret. The film earned him numerous awards and nominations, including a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture.
In addition to acting, Andrew has also produced several films, including The Family Fang, starring Nicole Kidman, and The Dark Tower, starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey. He has also produced several documentaries, including The Biggest Little Farm and The Last Black Man in San Francisco.
Andrew continues to act in both film and television, and recently appeared in the Netflix series The Crown as Prince Philip. He is also set to appear in the upcoming sci-fi drama The Tomorrow War, alongside Chris Pratt.
