Andréa Beltrão is a Brazilian actress and theater director who has been active in the entertainment industry for over three decades. She was born in Rio de Janeiro on May 16, 1964, and grew up in the city of Niterói.

Beltrão began her career as a stage actress in the early 1980s, performing in plays such as The Glass Menagerie, The Misanthrope, and others. She soon made her television debut in the soap opera Ti Ti Ti in 1985. After this, she went on to appear in several other television series, including the award-winning Elas Por Elas and A História de Ester.

In addition to her acting career, Beltrão has also gained recognition for her work as a theater director. She has directed plays such as O Fim da Paixão, A Mão do Destino, and Vida e Morte de Marília de Dirceu. Beltrão has also created the theater company Teatro de Câmara, which specializes in producing plays adapted from classic works.

In 2000, Beltrão made her feature film debut in the movie Se Eu Fosse Você. She has since appeared in several other films, including The Year My Parents Went on Vacation, Estômago, and O Começo Da Vida. She has also received critical acclaim for her performances in the television series O Clone, América, and A Vida da Gente.

In addition to her acting career, Beltrão has also been involved in various philanthropic initiatives. She is a spokeswoman for the organization SOS Mata Atlântica, an environmental organization dedicated to preserving the Atlantic Forest in Brazil.
