Anatoli Diatlov was a Russian actor, who rose to prominence in the 1950s and 1960s for his work in a variety of films and television shows. Born in Moscow in 1933, Diatlov was one of three children in a working-class family. His father was a factory worker and his mother worked as a seamstress. By the 1970s, Diatlov had become one of the most acclaimed actors in the Soviet Union. He was awarded the Lenin Prize in 1973 for his contributions to the field of film and theatre. He was also honored with the title of People’s Artist of the USSR in 1975.
In the 1980s and 1990s, Diatlov continued to appear in a variety of films and television shows. He was most well-known for his role as the lead character in the sci-fi series The Andromeda Galaxy. He also had a brief cameo in the 1993 Hollywood blockbuster Jurassic Park.
