Ameer Vann is an American rapper and songwriter, best known for being a member of the hip hop collective Brockhampton. He was born on May 12, 1996, in Houston, Texas. He was raised by his mother, who was a single parent. He attended Cypress Ridge High School, where he was a popular student.

Vann started rapping in high school, releasing his debut mixtape “Youniverse” in 2014. He gained a large following on SoundCloud, eventually attracting the attention of the hip hop collective Brockhampton, who invited him to join their group.

From 2017 to 2018, Vann was featured on a number of Brockhampton’s projects, including their debut studio album “Saturation” and its sequels. His contributions to the group’s music helped them develop a devoted fanbase.

In 2018, Vann released his debut solo album “Eternal Grey”, which was met with critical acclaim. The album featured guest appearances from fellow Brockhampton members Joba and Kevin Abstract, as well as popular rappers such as Maxo Kream and JID.

Vann has since made appearances on Brockhampton’s albums, as well as collaborated with other artists such as YBN Cordae, Denzel Curry, and Rich Brian. He is currently working on his sophomore album, due to be released in 2021.

Outside of music, Vann is an avid skater and has collaborated with skate brands such as Vans and Huf. He is also an advocate for mental health awareness and has spoken publicly about his own struggles with depression.
