Amato Mirko is a film director, screenwriter, and producer from Italy. He is best known for his work on the films "The Great Beauty" and "The Son's Room".

Born in Rome in 1971, Mirko was always passionate about film. He studied film at the University of Rome and shortly after graduating, Mirko went to work in the film industry. He worked as an assistant director and production assistant on several films before eventually becoming a director in his own right.
