Amanda LaVergne is an American actress and model. She began her career in the entertainment industry at the age of 18 as a model in various print ads and commercials. She then transitioned to acting, appearing in a number of independent films and television shows, including the hit series Grey's Anatomy.

LaVergne was born in Fresno, California and raised in the nearby city of Clovis. She attended Clovis West High School, where she was an active member of the drama club. She was also an avid dancer and participated in several regional and national competitions.

After high school, LaVergne went on to attend the University of California, Los Angeles, where she studied theater and film. She then moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career, making her on-screen debut in the independent film "Butterflies of Summer" (2005).

In 2007, LaVergne landed the role of the nurse, Jenna MacGillis, in the television series Grey's Anatomy. She remained a recurring character throughout the show's eighth season. In 2008, she was cast in the ABC drama series Ugly Betty as Amanda, the assistant to Wilhelmina Slater. She also had a recurring role in the television series 90210.

LaVergne has also appeared in a number of feature films, including the horror-comedy "Zombieland" (2009), the romantic comedy "Kissing a Fool" (2012), and the drama "The Perfect Storm" (2012). She also starred in the independent films "Echoes of Christmas" (2011) and "The Last Match" (2013).

LaVergne is an active philanthropist, supporting the causes of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees and the International Medical Corps. She also volunteers with the St. Joseph Center, which provides food, shelter, and healthcare to the homeless population in Los Angeles.

In her free time, LaVergne enjoys traveling, reading, and playing the piano. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her two cats, Milo and Otis.
