Alisa Camplin is an Australian actress, aerial skier, and motivational speaker. She was born on March 7, 1975 in Melbourne, Australia. Growing up, Alisa was always an active child. She practiced gymnastics and was on her high school's athletics team. After high school, Alisa attended the University of Melbourne and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science.

In 1998, Alisa had her Olympic breakthrough at the Nagano Winter Olympics in Japan. She became the first Australian to win a gold medal in the Women's Aerials competition. This was a great accomplishment for the country and Alisa was celebrated as a national hero. Her success continued through the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics where she won a silver medal.

In 2004, Alisa retired from competitive skiing. She then focused her attention on her acting career. She had a small role in the movie "The Look" and had a recurring role in the television series "McLeod's Daughters." She also appeared in the Australian drama "City Homicide" and the movie "The Cup".

In addition to acting, Alisa also became a motivational speaker. She has spoken at numerous events, universities, and corporations around the world. She focuses on inspiring people to take risks and be brave. She also advocates for mental health awareness and speaks openly about her own struggles.

In 2004, Alisa was made a Member of the Order of Australia for her dedication to the sport of aerial skiing and her contribution to the community. She has also been involved with various charities, including the Alisa Camplin Foundation which she founded in 2004.
