Alexandre Petrucciani (born 28 August 1971) is a French actor and director. He is best known for his roles in films such as The Beach, The Dreamers, and The Da Vinci Code.

Born in Paris, France, Alexandre was raised in a middle-class family. He began his acting career when he was 15, appearing in a school play. After graduating from high school, he studied drama at the Sorbonne.

He made his film debut in the French romantic comedy, The Beach (1996). His performance was met with critical acclaim and he went on to appear in a number of films including the drama, The Dreamers (2003) and the blockbuster, The Da Vinci Code (2006).

In addition to acting, Alexandre is also a director. He made his directorial debut with the short film, Je Suis Un Chien (2008). The film was screened at numerous film festivals and won a number of awards. He followed this with the feature film, A Summer in La Goulette (2012), which was nominated for several awards.

Alexandre has also worked on television, playing the role of Francois in the series, Les Invincibles (2012). He also directed two episodes of the series.

In addition to his film and television work, Alexandre has also appeared in several stage plays. He was nominated for the Molière Award for Best Actor for his performance in the play, Le Grand Voyage (2013).

Alexandre continues to act and direct both in film and on stage. He is regarded as one of the most talented actors and directors in France. He is also a respected figure in the industry, with many of his films being screened at prestigious film festivals around the world.
