Alex Messenger is an award-winning director and producer who has been making films since the early 2000s. His films focus on the human condition and relationships between characters in a dramatic setting. He is best known for his 2020 film “The Invisible Life of Adele Blanc-Sec” which was nominated for two Academy Awards.

Alex Messenger was born in Sydney, Australia in 1982. He attended a local film school and graduated from the University of Sydney in 2004. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of making films. In Los Angeles, he worked as an assistant director for several independent films and eventually directed his own short film entitled “Quietly”. The film was accepted into the Sundance Film Festival in 2006.

In 2008, Alex directed his first feature film “Mesmerize” which was released to critical acclaim. The film explored the power of hypnotism and won several awards at international film festivals. After the success of “Mesmerize”, Alex directed a television series called “The Insider” which aired on the ABC network in the United States.

Alex continued to direct and produce films, and in 2020, he released “The Invisible Life of Adele Blanc-Sec”. The film was an adaptation of the French graphic novel of the same name and starred French actress Léa Seydoux. The film received critical acclaim and was nominated for two Academy Awards.
