Alejandra Janet Varela Jiménez is a Mexican actress and model. Born in Mexico City in 1984, she began her career at an early age by taking part in TV commercials and participating in beauty pageants. She made her TV debut on the soap opera "Un Nuevo Amor" in 2003.

Varela Jiménez went on to make appearances in several Mexican telenovelas, including "La Doce Vida", "Amor en Custodia", and "Héroes". She gained wider recognition for her role as Ximena in the popular telenovela "Rebelde". Her portrayal of the character earned her a nomination for the TVyNovelas award for Best Young Lead Actress in 2006.

In 2009, Varela Jiménez made her big screen debut in the feature film "Paraiso Travel". She also co-starred in the films "El Infierno" and "Amor, Dolor y Viceversa".
