Alchemist, also known as Christopher "Chris" Rivers, is a Puerto Rican-American hip-hop artist, actor and poet from The Bronx, New York. His father is Latin hip-hop legend Big Pun. Alchemist has been involved in the music industry since a young age and has since become a well-established artist in his own right.

Alchemist first began rapping at the age of 16, taking influence from artists such as Mobb Deep, Big Pun, KRS-One and Nas. While attending college in California, he connected with West Coast rappers like Dilated Peoples and Evidence. He released his first solo album, 'The Silent Partner' in 2005. The album featured guest appearances from artists such as Nas and The Alchemist's father Big Pun, and featured production work from the likes of The Alchemist himself, Evidence, DJ Khalil and Hi-Tek.

In the following years, Alchemist continued to release music, as well as producing for many other artists. He has worked with artists such as Eminem, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Mobb Deep, Jadakiss, and many more. His production has been featured on all of Eminem's most recent albums, including 'The Marshall Mathers LP2' and 'Revival'.

In addition to music, Alchemist has also made appearances in television and films. He appeared in the crime drama 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent', as well as the feature film 'Gang Related'. He also had a recurring role on the critically acclaimed FX series 'The Shield'.

Alchemist is also an accomplished poet. He has released two books of poetry, 'The Dead Stay Dead' and 'The Book of Insight'. He was also featured in the documentary film 'Bomb the System', which focused on New York graffiti writers and hip-hop culture.

Alchemist is a multi-talented artist who has an immense amount of influence in the hip-hop community. He has made a name for himself for his lyrical prowess, production skills, and acting abilities. He is an inspiration to many and continues to make a positive impact on the music industry.
