Albert Delpy (born July 30, 1949) is a French actor and director. He is best known for his roles in the films Before Sunrise (1995), Before Sunset (2004), and Before Midnight (2013). Delpy was born in Paris, France, and began his acting career in the late 1970s. He had small roles in a number of French films, before making a breakthrough in the 1983 comedy Les Compères.

In 1995, he starred in the romantic drama Before Sunrise, directed by Richard Linklater, where he played a French traveller who meets an American woman while travelling in Vienna. The film was a success, and was nominated for an Academy Award. Delpy's performance was praised, and he went on to reprise the role in the two sequels, Before Sunset (2004) and Before Midnight (2013).

In 2013, Delpy wrote, directed, and starred in the romantic comedy 2 Days in New York. The film, which centers around a French couple living in New York City, was a critical success and earned Delpy a César Award nomination for Best Director. Delpy then went on to write the script for the 2017 romantic comedy Lolo, which was directed by Julie Delpy.

Delpy's other notable works include the French films Le Hérisson (2009) and Le Skylab (2011). He has also appeared in a number of English-language films, including The Three Musketeers (1993), An American Werewolf in Paris (1997), and The Count of Monte Cristo (2002).

Delpy is also an accomplished musician, having composed the score for Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, and Before Midnight, as well as many of his other films. He has released several albums of his own music, and has also collaborated with other musicians, including Yann Tiersen and Julie Delpy.

Delpy continues to act and direct, and is a fixture in the French film industry. He has been honored with several awards for his work, including a César Award, a European Film Award, and a Lumiere Award.
