Alastair Lee is an award-winning British filmmaker and adventure sports documentary director. He was born in 1976 in Lancashire, England and studied film and television production at the University of Westminster.

Lee is best known for his work in the extreme sports genre, directing and producing films such as Posing The Great Escape, On The Edge and Beyond the Edge. He has been highly successful in the genre, directing and producing award-winning films that have been exhibited around the world at prestigious film festivals such as the Banff Mountain Film Festival and the Raindance Film Festival.

In addition to his work in extreme sports, Lee has directed feature films, television documentaries, music videos and commercials. He has also worked as a cinematographer for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. Lee’s work has been featured in a variety of publications, such as The Guardian, The Times and The Independent.

Lee has a passion for exploration and adventure. He has travelled extensively, visiting countries such as India, Nepal, Pakistan and China. He has an affinity for remote mountain ranges and has undertaken a number of expeditions in the Himalayas, Karakoram and Pamir mountains.

Lee has been honored with numerous awards including Best Adventure Film at the Banff Mountain Film Festival and Best Film at the Kendal Mountain Film Festival. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.

Lee continues to direct and produce feature films, television documentaries, commercials and music videos. His work is characterized by a unique style that is both visually stunning and emotionally powerful. He is driven by a passion for exploration and adventure and his films have inspired many viewers to explore the world and discover its beauty.
