Alan Pelikan is an American actor and theatre director. He is best known for his roles in various films and television series, such as The Sopranos, Law & Order, and Orange Is the New Black.

Pelikan was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1965. He attended Cleveland High School, where he played football and was the captain of the basketball team. After graduating from high school, Pelikan attended Ohio State University, where he studied theatre and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Pelikan began his acting career in the late 1980s with a role in the film Fatal Attraction. He then went on to appear in various television series throughout the 1990s and 2000s, including recurring roles on The Sopranos, Law & Order, and Orange Is the New Black. He also had roles in films such as The Shawshank Redemption and The Fast and the Furious.

In addition to acting, Pelikan has also directed several plays and musicals. He directed the off-Broadway production of The Lion King and the Broadway production of Cabaret. He has also directed productions of Grease, The Producers, and Rent.

Pelikan is committed to giving back to the community and has been involved with several charitable organizations, such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Special Olympics. In addition, he is a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
