Al Harrington is an American actor, comedian, and producer. He is best known for his roles in The Hughleys, The Parkers, and the film Next Friday.

Harrington was born in San Francisco, California on August 24, 1962. He attended Lincoln High School in San Francisco and studied at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.

Harrington began his career as a stand-up comedian, performing in San Francisco clubs in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He later made appearances on television shows such as In Living Color, Martin, and The Jamie Foxx Show.

His breakout role was Darryl Hughley in the ABC sitcom, The Hughleys, which ran for four seasons from 1998-2002. He also had a recurring role in the UPN sitcom, The Parkers, as Professor Oglevee.

In 2000, Harrington starred in the film Next Friday, a sequel to the 1995 film Friday. He reprised his role as the character "Deebo" in the film Friday After Next in 2002.

In 2004, Harrington and his wife, Jennifer, founded the Al Harrington Family Foundation, which is committed to providing support to underserved youth in the San Francisco Bay Area. The foundation provides college scholarships, mentoring, and other resources and programs to help young people succeed in school and life.

In 2006, Harrington joined the cast of the CBS sitcom Still Standing, playing the role of Carl. He also produced a documentary film, The Education of Al Harrington, which debuted on Showtime in 2008.

Harrington continues to work in television and film, most recently appearing in the movie The Harlem Shake. He also has a recurring role on the ABC drama series, Grey's Anatomy.
