A.J. Johnson (born April 10, 1962) is an American actor, comedian, director, producer, and writer. He is best known for his roles in the films House Party (1990), Friday (1995), and The Players Club (1998).
Born and raised in New York City, Johnson's father was an entrepreneur and his mother a school teacher. He attended the High School for the Performing Arts in Manhattan, where he studied acting and dance. After graduating in 1980, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.
