Adriana Yurcovich is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, who has been making films since 2004. She is best known for her powerful and thought-provoking documentaries, which have received critical acclaim and been screened around the world.

Yurcovich was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1980. She grew up around a strong artistic influence, as her mother was a renowned artist and her father was a photographer. She developed an interest in filmmaking from a young age, and after graduating from high school, she enrolled in the University of Buenos Aires to study film.

After graduating from university, Yurcovich began her career as a filmmaker, working on a range of projects. Her first feature-length documentary, ‘The Price of Dreams’, was released in 2004 and was well-received, earning her a nomination for Best Documentary at the Buenos Aires International Film Festival.

In 2006, Yurcovich released her second documentary, ‘The Other Side of the River’. The film explored the lives of people living in rural Argentina and won numerous awards, including Best Documentary at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival.

Yurcovich has since gone on to make a number of documentaries, including ‘The Edge of the World’, ‘The Lost Children of El Salvador’, and ‘The Disappearance of the Mapuche’. All of her films have received widespread praise, and have been screened at prestigious film festivals, such as the Berlin International Film Festival and the Sundance Film Festival.

In addition to her filmmaking career, Yurcovich is also a dedicated advocate for social and environmental justice. She is a member of several organizations, including the Latin American Alliance for the Environment and the Latin American Network for Social Justice.
