Abel Folk is a Mexican actor and comedian who is best known for his roles in comedies and variety shows. He was born in Mexico City on April 8th, 1983, to a middle-class family.

Folk began his career in show business at a young age, appearing in various television commercials and stage plays. He gained attention when he was cast as a regular on the Mexican comedy show, El Club de los Tontos, which he continued to be a part of until he was 22-years-old. Following the show, he achieved even more success when he joined the cast of the Mexican comedy series El Chavo del Ocho. He became a household name in Mexico when he was cast as the character Pedro, a young and mischievous boy with a big heart. His performance earned him two awards, a TVyNovelas Award for Best Comedy Actor and a Mexican Golden Globe for Best Comedy Actor.

Folk then began to transition into films, starring in a number of Mexican comedies and dramas. He also appeared in several American films, including the comedy The Three Amigos and the drama The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. In addition to his acting career, Folk is also an accomplished singer and has released several albums and singles. He is also a regular on the Mexican television show, La Voz de Mexico.

In 2013, Folk was nominated for the Ariel Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in the Mexican comedy, Las Aparicio. He has also been nominated for several other awards throughout his career, including the Mexican Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy Role.
