Aaron Hawke is an American actor, director, and producer. He is best known for his role as the young vampire in the 1985 horror classic Fright Night, as well as for his roles in the popular films Dead Poets Society, Reality Bites, and Before Sunrise. He has also starred in a number of television series, including Alias, My So-Called Life, and the drama series The Good Wife.

Hawke was born on November 6, 1970, in Austin, Texas. He was the son of Leslie, a charity worker, and James Hawke, an insurance agent. He was raised in a close-knit family and was drawn to the creative arts at an early age. He took acting classes in high school and even wrote his own plays.

Hawke's breakout role came in 1985 when he was cast as the young vampire in Fright Night. The film was a hit, and Hawke was hailed as a star.
