
The Moscow International Documentary Film Festival DOKer is an international non-fiction film festival held annually in Moscow, Russia. Founded in 2011, DOKer grew out of a cinema club created by working documentary filmmakers committed to promoting documentary cinema in Russia. The festival receives over 2,000 submissions each year from across six continents and programs works with strong dramatic narrative and cinematic quality. A distinctive feature of DOKer is its professional jury structure, which evaluates films by craft discipline — direction, cinematography, sound and editing — in addition to the main competition.
