About Karlovy Vary International Film Festival
The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF) is the largest film festival in the Czech Republic and one of the oldest in Europe, established in 1946. Classified as a Category A festival by FIAPF since 1956, it screens roughly 200 films annually. The festival combines a strong international competition with industry days, talks and programmes such as KVIFF Talents and KVIFF Promises.
