About Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival
Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival is the largest documentary film festival in Central and Eastern Europe, founded in 1997. Taking place annually in late October in the Czech city of Jihlava, it is organized by DOC.DREAM. Known for its commitment to authorial, experimental and essayistic documentary, and regularly hosts more than 86,000 visitors across 23 programme sections. Winners are eligible for consideration by the European Film Academy and the Academy Awards.
