About Astra Film Festival
Astra Film Festival is an international documentary film festival held annually in Sibiu, Romania. The festival presents a curated selection of documentaries from around the world across competitive sections including Romania, Central & Eastern Europe, Emerging Voices, Student films and shorts. Alongside the main program, Astra runs Astra Film Junior for young audiences, an online edition that follows the physical festival, and Astra Film Chișinău in the Republic of Moldova. The festival also operates DocTank, an industry platform supporting documentary projects in development and post-production.
