« Don't knock masturbation, it's sex with someone I love » would say Woody Allen in this entertaining film, an exploration of an intimate female’s pleasure, that of masturbation. It is, no doubt, a topic that bothers. Yet, sex is all over the media, we talk about it more freely every day, but on the subject of feminine pleasure people come up with all sorts of crazy theories, so much so that the truth gets lost in the noise. Honesty is the main thread of the photographer-director’s quest along the confidences and analyses she gathers amongst friends, artists, researchers and scientists.
