In the early 1980s, commissioned by Czechoslovak public television, filmmaker Helena Třeštíková began filming a group of young newlywed couples on the threshold of their new life together.
This film focuses on one such couple. At first, what is always a promising and exciting affair, becomes much more complex over time.
The children and the responsibilities of adulthood are filmed closely by Třeštíková, in what is set up as a natural yet unpredictable evolution for the couple and their family.
