In Congo, armed groups use rape to terrorize civilians, drive them from their homes and then loot what remains.

Tatiana Mukanire, a rape survivor, has helped thousands of women and men that have survived systematic torture and rape with her music therapy project.

The documentary also features Denis Mukwege, a Congolese gynecologist who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2018 for his heroic push to end rape in war.

His foundation provides medical, psychological, and economic help to the more than fifty thousand victims of sexual violence in the community.

The episode also puts into context the field missions of the United nations to address issues related to gender-based violence and its impunity in the country.
