Divine Melodies. The drums of a village
Hidden in a dense Colombian jungle is an Afro-descendant village, lying on the shores of the Guapi River.
One day, tragedy strikes. A child dies. As the inhabitants begin to prepare the funeral rituals, Pacho and Genaro, two heirs to the town's musical lineage, are charged with making a "marimba", a local drum that must be played at the day of the burial.
As they make the instrument, ancient myths emerge in their conversations. Is the devil the the truly master of music? What apparitions, good and bad, gravitate in this community of people who carry on despite their misfortunes?
