Acacio - One man, three continents, a lifetime of exile
Acácio Videira’s life defies borders. Born in Portugal in 1918, he eloped with his beloved Maria da Conceição to Angola, escaping social restrictions. As colonial tensions erupted into war, the couple fled again—this time to Brazil.
Through their personal journey, Acácio weaves a poetic and political reflection on the scars of colonialism, the human costs of war, and the resilience of those who carry memory across oceans. Artist, husband, migrant—Acácio’s story is that of many, yet utterly singular.
