Taego Awa. The fight for the image of the Brazilian indigenous
The fight for the image of the Brazilian indigenous This documentary tells the story of the Ãwa, better known as Avá-canoeiro from the Araguaia, Brazil.
These Brazilian Indians want to tell their trajectory of exile and captivity since the forced contact with the national society 40 years ago.
For this, they make a mythical-religious interpretation of the contact with Baíra (white people), frustrating the images of acculturation and extinction produced on them over 4 decades.
