Rebecca Panovka is an award-winning director and editor who has worked on a variety of projects, including short films, music videos, web series, and commercials. She is best known for her work on the award-winning short film, A Kid in King Arthur’s Court, which has won multiple awards, including Best Short Film at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Rebecca was born in Los Angeles, California. She attended the University of Southern California, where she earned a degree in film and television production. After graduating, she worked as an editor and assistant director for various television shows and independent films. She then moved to New York City in 2005 to pursue a career in directing.

Her first major project was a short film called The Gift, which was an official selection at the Tribeca Film Festival. After that, she directed a series of webisodes for the online comedy channel, My Damn Channel. In 2011, she directed her first feature-length film, A Kid in King Arthur’s Court. The film won numerous awards, including Best Short Film at the Toronto International Film Festival.

In 2013, Rebecca directed a television pilot for NBC called The Mayor’s Daughter. The show was ultimately not picked up, but she was praised for her work. She also directed a music video for the band, The National, which was included on their album, Trouble Will Find Me.

Rebecca is currently working on a feature-length film called The Apprehension, which is about a teenage girl who is sent to a remote military school. She is also collaborating with the artist collective, The Upright Citizens Brigade, on a series of comedic short films.
