Julia Mironova is a Russian director and producer born in St. Petersburg, Russia. She studied film and television directing at the St. Petersburg State Institute of Film and Television (VGIK). In 2008, she graduated from the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors.
Mironova began her career in television production, directing short documentaries, before transitioning to feature-length films. Her first feature-length film, "The Right to Choose," was released in 2009. The film was well-received and won several awards, including the Best Feature Film at the 2010 Kinotavr Russian Film Festival.
Mironova has since gone on to direct several feature-length films, including "The Lighthouse" (2011), "Echo of a Brave" (2014), and "The Road To The Caucasus" (2015). Her films have been shown at a number of international film festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival, the Berlin International Film Festival, and the Moscow International Film Festival.
In addition to her feature-length films, Mironova has also directed several short films, including "The Housekeeper" (2011), "The Life of the Party" (2014), and "The Notebook" (2017).
Mironova has also produced several feature-length films, including "The Other Side" (2009), "The Third Wish" (2010), and "The Tailor's Daughter" (2013). She was also the executive producer for the 2011 documentary "The Way of the Warrior", which won the Jury Prize at the Moscow International Film Festival.
