Even Benestad is a Norwegian film director and screenwriter best known for his work on films such as "Cold Prey" (2006) and "Frost" (2010). He is also known for his narrative style of storytelling which focuses heavily on character development and the exploration of themes such as life and death.

Benestad was born in 1971 in Norway and grew up in the small town of Raufoss. He studied film directing at the Norwegian National Film School in Oslo and graduated in 1999. His first feature-length film, "Little Big Boy", was released in 2003 to critical acclaim.

Benestad's breakthrough came with the horror-thriller "Cold Prey" (2006). The film follows a group of friends who become stranded in an abandoned ski resort and are stalked by a mysterious killer.
